murdering misconceptions

I usually begin blogs with the proper intentions only to lose interest after a handful of entries. What I would ordinarily write in a blog I usually hold back for the columns I write for http://www.zygoteinmycoffee.com/ or my column for http://www.antimuse.org/ (which is ramping back up in December. During my recent trip to Chicago, I went to karaoke. I dedicated my rendition of Alice Cooper's "I Love The Dead" to the Chicago Cubs (this being the day the Cubs hit into 24 double plays and knocked themselves out of the post season). Two transvestites took offense and it turned into a brawl. See, this would be something nice to blog about, but alas, the reader must wait until it appears in one column or another. Also, I'm extremely lazy, which may be another reason weeks go by between blog posts. Anyway, I'm going to keep this a bit more intimate. Talk about myself, the books I'm reading, the projects I'm working on. And we'll see what happens.
